When youre
in a video with J. Lo and people talk about your body as much as
hers, you have earned the right to say that youve accomplished
something significant.
But I havent always
had a diesel body. I wasnt fat, but cut was something
the director said at the end of a take, not an adjective people
used
todescribe what I looked like. Now and then I would
grab a dumbbell or hop on an exercise bike, but Iwasnt serious,
and I wasnt educated enough about my training to take my God-given
genetics and makethe most out of them.
I really took my body to the
next level when the time came to hit the road in 2002 in
support of my CD Ten. Working with my trainer, Dave
Scooter Honig, I ended up exceeding even my own highest
expectations. Thats because working together, we developed
a revolutionary workout system that not only burns away body fat
for good but also builds muscle at the same time! In fact, the building
of the muscle and the burning of the fat simultaneously is what
produced the body you saw in Control Myself.
We call it the Platinum Workout, and its a surefire
way to turn those love handles around your waist into bulges in
the good places: your chest, shoulders, arms, and legs.
"I dont mess around
when I train; I blow and go." When youre running
between pullups, dips, pulldowns, situps, doing the treadmill in
between, and then jumping on it again at the end, you feel it. Period.
You know what Im sayin?
You have to be serious about getting in shape if you
want the platinum body.
Thats because two constants in Scooters
and my approach are (1) maximum
intensity and (2) the
kind of focus that could bend a spoon like that kid in the first
Matrix. And that mind-muscle connection is why my new body is just
the tip of the iceberg.
The real secret
is what this workout program has done for the rest of my life,
including my career.
